Sunday Morning Worship Information

Missions

Greetings and welcome to the FGMB Missions page.

Our church sees each person in our congregation as being a missionary in their own context – whether at home, school or work. At the same time we do support missionaries from our church whose involvement in missions is their full time vocation – both short and long term.

In order to support these missionaries, our church has developed the following information for both short and long term involvement. You are welcome to download the files and review the information.

May God bless and keep you all.

People We Support

Matt Braun: Matt works with Multiply Manitoba and coordinates their SOAR Heartland program.

Ricky and Karen Sanchez: Ricky serves as president of the Thailand Mennonite Brethren Foundation, which oversees all church-planting projects in Thailand. Karen is the founder and director of the Abundant Life Home, an orphanage for HIV-positive children, and works with Standing Strong, a project for women coming out of the sex trade. Both Ricky and Karen are involved in leadership development, worker recruitment and church planting.

Arthur and Phyllis Mann are MCC Area Directors for Southeast Asia. They are based in Chiang Mai, Thailand.

Neil and Sharon Steward have served with InterVarsity at Pioneer Camp Manitoba since March of 2012. Their boys Nikolai (12), Zachary (9), and Samuel (6) love being camp kids and working alongside their parents. In the off-season, they live on an acreage near Winnipeg..

Cory and Masami Giesbrecht are working with local Mennonite Brethren churches in the areas of community outreach, evangelism, and leadership development in Japan. They also have a passion for the marginalized, and minister in small group settings to those who are living on the streets of Osaka.

Lloyd & Carol Letkeman are disciple-makers with a passion to see lives transformed on mission with Jesus. Working out of the Central Canada office in Winnipeg, Lloyd & Carol give leadership to an enthusiastic team across the Prairie Provinces. The Letkeman’s have two adult sons who live in Winnipeg.
